What’s Hot in Pain Bioethics and Older Adults
This special publication aims to ensure that researchers, practitioners, educators, and policy makers are aware of the wide range of initiatives, events, and latest research findings related to ethical pain management in older adults.
This What’s Hot newsletter provides readers with snapshots of noteworthy research presented at key annual meetings, articles published in preeminent scholarly publications, and successful national stakeholder initiatives—including efforts developed in response to the Institute of Medicine report on Relieving Pain in America: A Blueprint for Transforming Prevention, Care, Education, and Research. The science, with a focus on aging, is accompanied by expert discussion and analysis of the additional questions raised by the research.
We believe that this latest issue in our What’s Hot series will assist you in identifying and responding to ethical issues in the treatment of pain in older adults. This publication was developed by GSA and supported by an educational grant from Purdue Pharma L.P.
