A 3-day, multi-disciplinary conference for aging professionals working in health care, social services, mental health, long term care, program planning, adult day, home care, etc. CE's will be offered for a variety of discplines including nurses, social workers, nursing home administrators, psychologists, case managers, CHES, therapeutic recreation, physical therapists, pharmacists, and others. Keynote Speaker-Robert Binstock, PhD; Keynote Address: Our Aging Society: Personal, Family, and Policy Challenges. Among other topics presented: "household model" in long term care, falls prevention, HIV/AID and the elderly, new face of addiction and aging, osteoporosis and physical activity, financial security in hard times, compassion fatigue, anti-aging medicine & science, environmental design & person centered care, forensics of elder abuse, dementia, ethics, oral health/healthy aging, maintaining independence, grief and the nursing assistant.
