Friebert, MD, FAAP, FAAHPM, will offer creative strategies to “make the case” for the creation and continued existence of pediatric palliative care programs. This audio conference is for billers and coders, hospital/hospice/agency administrative staff and even team members who can benefit from learning more about the factors involved in financial measurement for pediatric programs. Gain an understanding of the challenges of financing and sustaining a pediatric palliative care program and/or hospice program and why the adult models of cost neutrality or cost savings are not generally applicable
Recognize potential sources of income available to pediatric palliative care programs and/or hospice programs and identify strategies to capture possible revenue streams
Discover basic cost accounting procedures relevant to pediatric models of care delivery, including estimates of potential revenue based on staffing and case mix
Receive helpful resources and a basic toolbox to put together a meaningful business plan for your program
