The upcoming Summer Training Course in Experimental Aging Research will be offered June 8-13, 2010, at the Barshop Institute, UT Health Science Center, San Antonio.

Some information on this excellent course:

  • It is fully funded by the National Institute on Aging, and focused on experimental aging research.
  • The aim of the course is to bring attendees up to date with the current state of the art in biomedical research in aging and to help attendees refine their plans for their research in this field.
  • The course is designed for senior postdoctoral fellows or junior faculty who are establishing their labs in aging research, or senior faculty who wish to enter the field.
  • The course features overview lectures on broad topics by prominent scientists, workshops and advice on preparing proposals in aging research, and a unique opportunity for networking.
