The Palliative Care/Critical Care Nexus Export to iCal/Outlook Print
Wednesday, June 16 2010, 1:30am - 2:30pm by Anonymous

Sponsored by the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC).

This audio conference will map steps for starting and sustaining a successful ICU-palliative care integration. Judy Nelson, MD, JD will discuss the creation of a culture that prioritizes and supports ICU palliative care; the design of work systems that facilitate clinical practice improvement; and the identification of feasible, relevant project goals for a specific ICU. Dr. Nelson will also introduce IPAL-ICU, a new initiative that provides a range of resources for  clinicians seeking to improve palliative care in the ICU.

Grant-funding for New York State: New York State hospitals, and hospices with an established hospital palliative care program partnership, are eligible to enroll at no cost. This funding is made possible by a grant awarded to CAPC from the New York State Health Foundation.  Funding from this grant is available for these audio conferences.   For more information visit www.capc.org/grantees
