Brief Description:

This 2 day advanced course provides an in-depth review and update on current practice for physicians planning to sit for the Hospice & Palliative Care Board Certification Exam which the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in November 2010.

Course Objectives:

Demonstrate improved understanding for physicians in palliative care concepts.
Formulate a better understanding of pain and symptom management issues, management of psychosocial distress, integrating spiritual issues into plans of care and addressing needs of patients and families through the Care Continuum.
Review the exam blueprint guideline areas of the ABMS Board Certification Hospice & Palliative Care exam areas.
