The Society for the Arts in Healthcare, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the arts as integral to healthcare for therapeutic, educational, and expressive purposes, is hosting its 23rd annual international conference this May.

Arts & Health: A Global View, hosted by Children's Hospital of Michigan, will take place at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit, Michigan, USA, May 2 - 5, 2012. Attendees will explore model arts and health programs and environments, develop leadership and professional skills to excel in the field, and network with colleagues. All who use and are interested in using the arts with patients and communities are welcome to join; that includes healthcare professionals, artists, creative therapists, and leaders from healthcare institutions and community programs. Keynotes include Richard Florida, PhD, author of the bestseller Rise of the Creative Class. CMEs and CEUs are also available.
