7th Annual Leadership and Management in Geriatrics Export to iCal/Outlook Print
From Friday, April 03 2009
To Saturday, April 04 2009
Every day
by Anonymous
LMG is an intensive and interactive workshop where physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals who work in high volume geriatric practices are encouraged to unlock their leadership potential. Faculty experts in the fields of business, geriatric medicine, leadership, and management provide instruction and mentoring throughout the two days, as well as after the conference Participants learn the “business” side of geriatrics, how to maximize their potential to manage and lead, as well as creative ways to practice geriatrics successfully. The unique program design calls for a low faculty/participant ratio. Participants prepare a short outline of a leadership/management issue from their worksite before coming to conference, then focus on this issue throughout the conference. Participants work in small collaborative groups with a faculty mentor on this issue, and then participants can work one-on-one with a faculty mentor after the conference to actually address the challenge. This is an opportunity to enhance clinical skills with leadership skills.
