Our goal at GSA is to promote an organization based around the field of aging. We encourage Campus Ambassadors to become actively involved in promoting opportunities in the field of aging on their campuses. There are lots of ways to get the word out about aging! We hope that Campus Ambassadors will:

1) Generate awareness of GSA and ESPO on their local campuses
2) Promote abstract submission for and participation in the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting
3) Promote and organize participation in "Careers in Aging Week" (www.careersinaging.com)
4) Organize other events on their campuses throughout the year such as: guest speakers, meetings, panel presentations, networking receptions; and discussion sessions on topics related to gerontological research, policy, practice, careers, and student topics such as internships, etc.

A Campus Ambassador may decide to develop a local program in one of the following ways:

1) Create or work with an existing campus gerontology student organization
2) Work with an existing local branch of Sigma Phi Omega (SPO)
3) Recruit a co-Ambassador

If you are already a member of a campus gerontology student organization or a local branch of SPO, you can also become a Campus Ambassador.

We are currently seeking applications for Campus Ambassador positions. Please do not hesitate to contact me at campusambassadors@geron.org if you have any questions or if you would like more information.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
Jessica Clark, GSA Meetings and Marketing Coordinator
&
Anthony Kupferschmidt
ESPO Senior Representative, GSA Membership Committee
