66th Annual Scientific Meeting

Wednesday, 11/20 to Sunday, 11/24
Sheraton New Orleans • New Orleans Marriott
New Orleans, Louisiana

Groundbreaking Research. International Audience. Inspiring Atmosphere. A Dedication to Excellence.

Thank you to everyone who attended GSA's 2013 Annual Scientific Meeting in New Orleans!  GSA proudly welcomed nearly 3,600 of the world's leading gerontologists to the premier conference for aging research. Continue the conversation about the 66th Annual Scientific Meeting by using #GSA13. Be sure to join us next year for GSA's 67th Annual Scientific Meeting! We'll be in Washington, DC, from November 5 to 9. The Call for Abstracts has already been issued. Submissions will be accepted from mid-December until March 5. Note that both the meeting dates and abstract deadline are earlier than in previous years. Learn more.

GSA's Annual Scientific Meeting brings together more than 4,000 of the brightest minds in the field of aging. This meeting is the premier gathering of gerontologists from both the United States and around the world. They participate in over 400 scientific sessions including symposia, paper, and poster presentations.

GSA’s scientific program is one of the most respected and competitive of its kind. The meeting theme, “Optimal Aging Through Research,” embodies GSA’s interdisciplinary core values. While attendees have differing perspectives based on their areas of research — be they in basic sciences, clinical sciences, behavioral sciences, or social sciences — these perspectives provide complementary insights on how aging can be optimized.

New Orleans provides a wonderful backdrop for the meeting. It’s a lively city with a rich cultural and ethnic history that includes wonderful music, food, sightseeing, and entertainment opportunities for everyone. We will seek to include examples of this culture within the program, and our meeting venue will be located in the popular French Quarter.

If you would like to share this event with colleagues, please download this PowerPoint slide that can be incorporated into your presentations.

Get social with GSA! Use hashtag #GSA13 when posting on Twitter and share your excitement for the Annual Scientific Meeting. Be sure to also post on our Facebook wall, we want to hear about the session you’re most looking forward to, a poster you’re presenting, or a restaurant you’d like to try!
