National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence Leadership Conference
Monday, November 18 to Wednesday, November 20 | Fee: $275 Alumni; $400 Non-Alumni
This program focuses on developing leaders in gerontological nursing and healthcare to advance the quality of health available to older adults. The theme of this year’s leadership conference is Leading Self, Others, and Change. Accordingly, the program is concerned with the development of self-awareness, developing others, managing effective teams, being innovative, and exerting healthcare leadership in and through professional organizations. The goals of the Leadership Conference are to: Assist Archbold Scholars, Fagin Fellows, and other nursing professionals to orchestrate full academic careers; Facilitate the skills development necessary to build excellence and leadership in nursing care of older adults; Support the development of a national network of nurse leaders/ researchers concerned with care of older adults; and Link gerontological nursing research to practice and policy changes. Funding is through the generous support of The John A. Hartford Foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies, and the Mayday Fund and managed by The Gerontological Society of America.
