About this Webinar:
Building on the prior Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) discussion of the new position paper on obesity in older adults, this webinar turns to how that vision is taking shape in the US. Interprofessional panelists will discuss key tenets of integrated obesity care for older adults and how The GSA KAER Toolkit for the Management of Obesity in Older Adults supports quality, interprofessional care. They will share how new Medicare payment models are changing access to obesity management medications. Panelists will examine how, combined with nutrition science and evidence-based exercise programs aimed at preserving lean body mass and function during weight loss, older adults can achieve excellent outcomes with obesity management medications.
Support provided by Lilly and Novo Nordisk.
