GSA Welcomes the Leadership of Dedicated Members

James Appleby - CEO Blog

GSA continues to offer more volunteer leadership opportunities than ever before, and we’re now in the time of year where we seek nominations for our highest offices — our Board of Directors and section leadership.

GSA encourages nominations or self-nominations of eligible members for these important positions. Online nominations for board member positions are open through March 18, and online nominations for section officers are open through April 8.

Our Society could not progress without the dedication of those members who step up to guide us through the opportunities and challenges we face. The GSA elections web page includes access to the online nominations form as well as details regarding the position descriptions, duties, and eligibility requirements.

If you’re not ready for the commitment required of GSA officers, we have many other opportunities that may suit your needs and schedule. They range from short-term commitments to multi-year term positions and many in between. For example, we have an ongoing call for journal reviewers. And we’re currently looking for the next editor-in-chief of our open access journal, Innovation in Aging.

To all who volunteer to serve with GSA, I thank you. The time and talent you contribute continually make a difference in the success we achieve together.
