Join GSA in National Harbor for the Nation’s Premier Aging Conference!

The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) invites journalists to attend its 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting — the country’s largest interdisciplinary conference in the field of aging — from November 4 to 7 in National Harbor, Maryland. Qualified media representatives intending to cover the meeting may register free of charge.

More than 4,000 professionals are expected to attend the four-day gathering at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, just south of Washington, DC, on the shore of the Potomac River. The theme for 2026 is “Reinforcing Resilience in Aging Science, Research and Education,” and the program schedule contains nearly 600 scientific sessions featuring experts sharing research that has never been presented before. Noteworthy meeting highlights include:

• A wealth of story ideas: GSA offers direct access to leading authorities and new discoveries in gerontology. Explore the latest developments related to innovative technologies, Social Security and retirement, long-term care, human longevity, and much more. • Keynote address: Former National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins, MD, PhD, will deliver the keynote address in the President’s Opening Plenary Session on Wednesday, November 4. Collins is a physician and geneticist known for his landmark discoveries of disease genes, for leading the Human Genome Project, for his 12 years as NIH director, and for championing the harmony of science and faith.
   
• AgeTech programming and Innovation Theater: Join the conversations shaping the future of aging in the GSA 2026 AgeTech Track, which will explore timely, forward-thinking session topics spotlighting the latest innovations, emerging trends, and transformative technologies advancing the aging experience. The Exhibit Hall will also feature an Innovation Theater, where attendees can experience hands-on demonstrations, live presentations, and engaging conversations showcasing the latest breakthroughs and emerging technologies transforming the future of aging.
   
• Networking opportunities: The Press Room, which serves as a base of operations for reporters, provides a venue for discussion about emerging issues on the aging beat. There will be a reception for reporters the evening of Friday, November 6.
