Health Sciences Executive Committee

The purpose(s) of this Section shall be to promote research and scholarship on the aging process, with special reference to the study of health and disease in later life and the comprehensive well-being of older adults and their families, including the communities who care for them. The Health Sciences Section Executive Committee shall have general supervision of the affairs of the Section. The Executive Committee shall formulate policy to be recommended to the Section membership and have the power to approve or disapprove the appointment of committees, shall move to facilitate the activities of committees by review and recommendations, and shall perform such other duties as are specified in these bylaws. The Executive Committee shall have responsibility and authority over the funds of the Section, within the limitations set forth by the Society, in its bylaws, and in the Section's bylaws, and may review or examine, upon its own initiative, the actions of any officer, committee, or other instrumentality of the Section.
