Social Research, Policy, and Practice Executive Committee

The purpose of this Section shall be to advance the social well-being and health of older people through scientific studies and application of knowledge gained therefrom through policy and practice. The Executive Committee shall have general supervision of the affairs of the Section. The Executive Committee shall formulate policy to be recommended to the Section membership, shall review and have the power to approve or disapprove the appointment of committees, shall move to facilitate the activities of committees by review and recommendations, and shall perform such other duties as are specified in these bylaws. The Executive Committee shall have responsibility and authority over the funds of the Section, within the limitations set forth by the Society, in its bylaws, and in the Section's bylaws, and it may review or examine, upon its own initiative, the actions of any officer, committee, or other instrument of the Section.
