Behavioral and Social Sciences Executive Committee

The purpose of this Section is to advance the scientific and scholarly study of the aging process in the behavioral and social sciences. The Executive Committee shall have general supervision of the affairs of the Section. The Executive Committee shall formulate policy to be recommended to the Section membership, shall review and have the power to approve or disapprove the appointment of committees, shall move to facilitate the activities of committees by review and recommendations, and shall perform such other duties as are specified in these bylaws. The Executive Committee shall have responsibility and authority over the funds of the Section, within the limitations set forth by the Society, in its bylaws, and in the Section's bylaws, and it may review or examine, upon its own initiative, the actions of any officer, committee, or other instrumentality of the Section.
